2020 Coyote Softball Season Canceled

The 2020 Cerro Coso Coyote Softball season will be canceled, as announced by Athletic Director John McHenry, "The department is regretful to make this announcement, but do to current program circumstance it is in the best interest of our current players, and our opponents to put this season on hold as the program regroups and is able to make a full commitment to the 2020-2021 season."

The program is going through a complete overhaul starting with the hiring of a coaching staff and recruiting for next season's roster.

The softball program was reinstated during the 2017 spring and was making steady progress through the spring of 2019. The loss of Coach Devin Bennett through resignation and low roster numbers were more than the program could overcome by the season opener. The Coyote Softball program is looking forward to a complete comeback in the following season.
