Cerro Coso Cross Country completed their season at the Inland Empire Athletic Conference Championships. This caps a historic season for the Runnin' Coyotes with their largest men's and women's rosters. The women's school record also was surpassed 4x by 2 different women's runners during the season.
Coach Slaymaker says, " From preseason to now the team has come so far. Our women's team was running over 6 minutes faster from pre-season to now and our men's team over 4 minutes faster. It's a testament to the work and character on our team.
At the IEAC Championship Genevieve Vogel again had a PR passing her own time as 2nd fastest in Cerro Coso history on the women's side with a 5K of 28:10.
On the Men's side Tristen Attakai ran a very smart and controlled race running a PR of 24:40 over 4 miles. He was followed by Julian Ramos who PR'd at 26:36, and Leo Vazquez who finished at 33:57.
